A Cumaru Florestal foi fundada na cidade de Alenquer - Pará, com o objetivo de fornecer matérias primas nobres; exóticas e nativas da Amazônia, para o mercado brasileiro e mundial.
Já reflorestamos mais de 350 hectares com diferentes espécies, e seguimos plantando. A partir do reflorestamento geramos empregos, desenvolvimento sustentável, e matérias primas de qualidade superior são produzidas de forma constante, para atender aos mais exigentes mercados.
About us
Cumaru Florestal was founded in the city of Alenquer - Pará - Brazil, to provide noble raw materials; exotics and natives of the Amazon Rainforest, to the national and world market. We have already reforested more than 900 acress with different species, and we keep planting. With reforestation, we create jobs, sustainable development, and top quality raw materials are constantly produced to meet the most demanding markets.

Cumaru / tonka bean

Árvore de grande porte nativa da Amazônia, podendo atingir mais de 30 metros de altura. Embora a madeira seja muito desejada, nosso objetivo é a comercialização das favas do cumaru. Conhecida como “baunilha brasileira”, as sementes (ou favas de cumaru) são muito aromáticas e amplamente utilizadas na indústria cosmética, sendo uma importante matéria prima na composição de perfumes e outros produtos de beleza.
Planting started in 2015.
Native of the Amazon Rainforest, it’s a large size tree, reaching more than 30 meters in height. Although it’s a much desired wood, our goal is to sell tonka bean. Known as “brazilian vanilla”, the tonka beans (or fava tonka) are very aromatic and widely used in the cosmetic industry, being a valuable raw material in the composition of perfumes and various beauty products.

Árvore especialmente aromática, nativa da floresta amazônica. Graças ao reflorestamento, é possível garantir o fornecimento dessa valiosa matéria prima de maneira sustentável e responsável para o universo cosmético e de perfumaria. Encontra-se em ameaça de extinção segundo dados do IBAMA e IUCN, devido a falta de critérios para extração no século passado.
Planting started in 2019.
Especially aromatic tree native of the Amazon Rainforest. Thanks to reforestation, it is possible to supply this valuable raw material in a sustainable and responsible way to the universe of cosmetics and perfumery. It is under threat of extinction according to data from IBAMA and IUCN, due to the lack of criteria for extraction in the last century.

Planta da família botânica Cyperaceae, da qual faz parte o papiro. Das plantas que cultivamos, esta é a que tem o ciclo mais rápido, podendo ser colhida de um a dois anos após o plantio. Possui pequenas flores, mas seu perfume vem das raízes, que são em forma de tubérculo e exalam um perfume delicioso, fresco, amadeirado e picante. Apreciada na aromaterapia, perfumaria e cosmética.

Plant of the Cyperaceae botanical family, which includes papyrus. Of the plants we cultivate, this is the one with the fastest cycle, and can be harvested one to two years after planting. It has small flowers, but its scent comes from the roots, which are tuber-shaped and exude a delicious, fresh, woody and spicy scent. Appreciated in aromatherapy, perfumery and cosmetics.
Copaíba / Copaiba

Árvore nativa do Brasil, que tem ocorrência desde o bioma Cerrado até o bioma Amazônia. Existem mais de 25 espécies catalogadas. Além das propriedades medicinais já conhecidas da copaíba, o óleo também vem ganhando espaço na indústria de perfumaria e cosmética.

A native tree of Brazil, it occurs from the Cerrado biome to the Amazon biome. There are more than 25 species cataloged. In addition to the already known medicinal properties of copaiba, its oil has also been gaining ground in the perfumery and cosmetic industry.

Árvore de grande porte nativa da Amazônia. Possui madeira dura e muito resistente ao ataque de insetos. Do fruto marrom-avermelhado extrai-se sementes ricas em óleo, e de interesse para indústria cosmética.

Large tree native of the Amazon Rainforest. It has hard wood very resistant to insect attack. From the reddish-brown fruit are extracted seeds rich in oil, and of interest to the cosmetic industry.

Árvore de grande porte originária da África Ocidental, podendo ultrapassar 50 metros de altura. Madeira nobre de tom avermelhado, de elevada durabilidade e versatilidade. As primeiras árvores de Mogno Africano plantadas no Brasil foram plantadas na década de 1970, na EMBRAPA Amazônia Oriental em Belém no estado do Pará.

Large tree originating in West Africa, and may exceed 50 meters in height. Noble wood of reddish tone, of high durability and versatility. The first African Mahogany trees planted in Brazil were planted in the 70s’, at EMBRAPA Amazonia Oriental, located in Belém, state of Pará.
